Wedding gift ideas
Use the registry well — or go off it thoughtfully.
The first rule of wedding gifts: if there’s a registry, use it — it’s literally a list of what they want. The ideas below are for when there’s no registry, it’s picked clean, or you want to add something more personal on top.
If there’s a registry
- Buy from it — ideally one nicer item rather than several small ones.
- Go in with others on a big-ticket registry gift they’d never buy themselves.
- Many couples now list a honeymoon or cash fund — contributing is genuinely welcome, not a cop-out.
Thoughtful off-registry gifts
- An experience for two — a tasting menu, a hotel night, a cooking class to enjoy together.
- A keepsake — a commissioned illustration of their venue, or a personalised print.
- A “year one” gift — a case of wine to open on each anniversary, or a subscription that lasts.
Group gifts that land
- Pool budgets for something memorable — a weekend away, a piece of furniture, a contribution to the honeymoon.
- A photo book voucher for after the wedding photos arrive.
- Whatever you choose, write a real card. For weddings, the note is remembered as long as the gift.

When the Engift finder opens you’ll describe them — “my best friends who are getting married in autumn” — and we’ll match real products to that.
