Gifts for gamers
How to nail it even if you can’t tell a PlayStation from a PC.
The danger with gaming gifts is platform mismatch — the right game on the wrong system is useless. The safe move is to buy things that work regardless of platform: comfort, accessories, and credit.
Platform-agnostic safe bets
- A digital gift card for their store (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo). Boring? Maybe — but it’s the gift they’ll actually use, and it sidesteps every compatibility trap.
- Good headphones or a headset. Used for hours; an upgrade is felt immediately.
- A comfy chair cushion, wrist rest, or desk mat. Long sessions are hard on the body.
If you know their setup (€40–€150)
- An extra controller — for co-op, or as a spare. Match the platform exactly.
- Storage — an SSD or memory card; modern games are huge and gamers are always full.
- A mechanical keyboard or a better mouse for PC players.
Beyond the screen
- Merch from a game they love — a poster, figure, or art book.
- A great board game or TTRPG starter set for the social side of gaming.
- An arcade bar night or esports event ticket.

When the Engift finder opens you’ll describe them — “my partner who mains PC games and streams a little” — and we’ll match real products to that.
